We are committed to environmental responsibility and opt for sustainable packaging materials wherever possible. Conserving resources and reducing waste are important to us. We embrace simplicity and avoid excessive packaging.

Our Packaging

Amber glass jars and bottles:

  • Glass is made from all natural resources, such as sand, soda ash, limestone and recycled glass.
  • Glass has a luxurious feel and is a visually pleasing eco-friendly material.
  • Glass is easy to recycle and is one of the most sustainable materials on earth as it can be recycled endlessly back to its original use without losing quality or purity. 
  • Amber glass protects the cosmetic formula from UV rays.
  • Glass offers excellent barrier protection against moisture and other environmental factors keeping formulas fresh and preventing contamination.
  • Glass is a naturally inert material and does not absorb chemical aromas and does not react with the cosmetic product.
  • Glass is the most stable of all packaging materials and is completely safe to use with cosmetics, food and drink.
  • Glass, although slow to break down, is non-toxic and will not pollute the environment.

Aluminium lids:

  • Aluminium is a highly sustainable packaging material as it is infinitely recyclable.
  • Aluminium is lightweight, durable and offers excellent barrier function against air and light.
  • Aluminium is taken in kerbside recycling in the UK. 

Airless packaging:

  • Our airless bottles work under a vacuum effect that draws the product upwards resulting in no wastage of product.
  • The airless vacuum system ensures that we can safely keep some of our waterless formulas preservative free.
  • Made of PP (polypropylene) plastic, these airless bottles do not contain any metal parts and can be fully recycled. Please check your local authorities recycling regulations.

Serum pumps:

  • Our black serum pumps used with amber glass bottles contain small metal parts and are not yet recyclable. The green packaging industry is ever evolving and we are continuously on the lookout for more sustainable alternatives.

Outer Packaging:

  • All of our outer packaging is recyclable and/or compostable.  
  • We use 100% recyclable postage boxes, paper materials and paper packing tape.
  • We use packing peanuts made from vegetable starch. These are fully compostable and can be dissolved in water as a means of disposal.
