Our Story

Elder Or Not Skincare is an independent skincare company based in beautiful Perthshire, Scotland, UK. We create highly effective, results-driven skincare for menopause and perimenopause using only natural origin ingredients.

As you can guess from the name, all our gorgeous, plant based skincare products are designed to give your skin the boost it needs, whether you are older, a little younger, teenaged, menopausal - or not.

Whatever your starting point, Elder Or Not products effectively harness the calming, healing and regenerating properties of natural ingredients to deliver fast results, leaving you with significantly happier, healthier and glowing skin.

Aija, our founder and creator of Elder Or Not Skincare, is an organic cosmetic formulator extraordinaire with a long career as an aesthetician and a complementary therapist. Aija was influenced by Finnish mythology, her keen interest in the magical plant world and love of foraging. With firm knowledge of the skin and its ageing process and with a very clear vision in mind,  Aija set to work several years ago and Elder Or Not is the result.

Our first range, Pause & Balance, is designed for menopausal and perimenopausal skin in need of extra attention for visibly noticeable results. All the Elder Or Not products work together as a skincare system or individually to suit you and your preferred skincare regime. 

Whilst developing the menopause and perimenopause range, we added a product for hormonal teenagers, knowing that teen skin would greatly benefit from similar plant properties. Each of our products has been refined, tested and reviewed by some very demanding demographics as you can imagine!

Sensitivity and reactivity are real issues, with many people struggling to find skincare that does not cause or exacerbate irritation. Through extensive research and skilful blending and balancing of all natural ingredients, Elder Or Not offers highly effective formulas that really work, even on the most sensitive skins.

We take a seasonal approach to skincare and celebrate simple routines. Everyone deserves calm, glowing skin and our goal is to help people achieve this, just like nature intended - with little effort and even throughout hormonal changes.
